Kyoto Ghost Tour

Dark tales, urban legends & the bamboo forest after everyone else has gone home.

2.5 hours Starts: Saga-Arashiyama Station Ages 16–65 English from ¥6,777 per person Dark Triangle · ①

The Night

By day, Arashiyama's bamboo grove is the most photographed place in Kyoto. By night it is something else entirely — a corridor of black stalks that creak against each other in the dark, and the reason this tour exists.

We start at Saga-Arashiyama Station and walk into the forest as the last light dies. A slow walk through the dark bamboo, past shrines that stay lit for reasons nobody advertises — while your guide tells the legends and the real ghost stories that belong to these exact places.
